There are millions or even billions of people in this world who fundamentally do not understand that children everywhere are the same. This precious child, the tens of thousands dead in Gaza—people don’t connect them to the idea of their own child being violently killed.

Israel is bombarding, literally bombarding, two Middle East capitals, Beirut and Tehran, killing 100s of civilians, and yet the US and UK media continue to portray Iran as the threat to the region. Israel has nukes, but Iran is the nuclear threat. We live in Orwellian times.

He was a college student studying information systems who volunteered in the reserve. He probably had a bright future. He likely believed the pervasive lies Americans are fed from birth that joining the US military means "serving your country" and "defending freedom." What it really means is fighting barbaric imperialist wars and taking away life and freedom from others. The bitter truth that those who loved him won't have an easy time facing is that no ordinary American will be freer or safer for his loss. He died for "Israel" and for the Epstein vampire class — none of whose children have rushed to volunteer in Trump's war of murder and aggression.

I personally asked Rep Crockett if she would support the Stop the Bombs Act to end offensive military aid to Israel. She pretended like she had never heard of it and asked her staffer to follow up with how she had supplied aid to Palestinians, which isn’t the same as stopping Israeli offensive funding for the IDF at all! After tens of thousands had died it was unbelievably cynical to me. Every time I brought this up and simply asked that she take the same stance as Talarico on this issue, many of her supporters tried to argue it didn’t matter, or they both were the same on this issue, or that I was a bigot for asking. The Iran war and the genocide in Gaza are unbelievably horrible, and I hope Crockett’s loss in this primary will help her and others in Congress realize how Democratic primary voters are through hand waving away universal human rights and done with AIPAC aligned policies.

@JustinBonomo progressives to win and not be able to control how they vote/legislate. Schumer and Jeffries make so many baffling decisions (to us normie dem voters), but they all make sense when you realize they are 100% controlled by the party's biggest donors and their consultants.

Democrats, pay attention: Common sense progressive candidates like Talarico and Haynes are winning primaries in Texas of all places because their policies align with dem voters. It’s quite simple, but center-right establishment dems like Kamala still don’t get it. Trump wouldn’t be president right now if the DNC understood this. Or maybe it’s more accurate to say he wouldn’t be president right now if the DNC simply cared more about winning elections than keeping the old guard in power. We’ve known all this for a while. Recently we had Mamdani’s huge win. Kamala failed miserably because she ignored all data that showed her stance on Gaza would cost her the election. Her campaign admitted that their high level internal polling never once showed her beating Trump - and in the face of that she still continued to say there was no daylight between her and Biden. And we saw it before that with Hillary. Every poll showed that Bernie had the best chance of beating Trump because of his mainstream, common sense, progressive politics. But the corrupt DNC conspired to keep the old guard in power, even if it meant losing the election to Trump. Please DNC, we’re begging you. Support your most popular candidates for once instead of crushing them.

In the weeks leading up to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, it should come as no surprise that Members of Congress were buying defense stocks. They want to enrich themselves from this death and destruction while sending other families' loved ones off to war. Disgusting.

Mamdani: I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist.
