Tom Rees is chosen to lead DfE's 'expert SEND panel'.
Have they forgotten his speech last year where he aspired to "retire the label of SEND"?
And dismissed many special needs as "normal"?
And said the system could not be managed through "individualised specialist support"?

People telling me that Rees knows a lot about SEND just because he has a child with Down’s? David Cameron did fuck all for disabled people and children - despite having a disabled child… Starmer had a disabled brother, yet here we are.

@FrasierShoes @bphillipsonMP A school where a teacher once boasted on X how they had enjoyed watching the HT apply the "hairdryer treatment," to 2 boys. Then same teacher boasted about humiliating students who asked to use the toilet. Whose values are these? Not those of any decent person in education.
