Please watch this show. One of the best pieces of television I’ve ever seen, probably the best animated show, one of my favorite pieces of science fiction. It’s getting a second chance on Netflix and they’ll probably make more if it performs. I really cannot recommend it enough.

Being honest I've really disliked the upscaling in the recent Doctor Who Collection sets. This AI process just makes every character look like smoothed out wax and buries noise detail that gives everything an uncanny appearance. Its like 00s digital grading, it'll age badly.

Watched a lot of new-to-me horror stuff this October but these were probably my 4 favorites. Highly recommend all these movies!

@EveryKindofGeek Genuinely. Just jump in. Figure it out as you go. You can always revisit things later if you have more context. You’ll just drive yourself up a wall trying to understand every continuity angle. You’ll never know everything.

@clvanderbeek They specifically referred to the character as “Victor Von Doom”. So that’s definitely his name somehow, whatever that means. Personally I hope he’s somehow not a Tony variant but I also think that’s unlikely. Pretty unenthused, honestly, left a bad taste in my mouth.

@DugPryce It's important if he's Tony or Victor, or being Victor as a pseudonym. What is Peter going to say when he sees him the first time?

@ComicsMeta Maybe you’ve read already and it doesn’t line up 1:1 but JSA: The Golden Age is actually a fantastic companion piece to this in that specific regard. It’s basically all about the end of the original generation of heroes for similar reasons!

While I’m personally not a fan of the whole “the Spear of Destiny kept the JSA out of WWII” lore I will say I do think New Frontier’s approach to the end of the JSA, that they retired to avoid either prosecution or being a government lapdog following the Red Scare should be canon

@Kamendude I think this is genuinely the first piece of art, fan or official, that has made me somewhat understand wtf is happening with Absolute Batman’s cape… arm… thing.

John Ostrander is HIM and should be talked about more often as someone in the ranks of the most influential writers with his work at DC in the 80's/90's.

@SmithyPhox I felt like I was losing it when people were suggesting that Mrs. Flood was a mystery when she first talked to camera. I turned out to be wrong on that but I still think the actual 4th wall breaks aren’t necessarily a mystery and it’s wild how insistent people are it must be.

Sorry guys, but this one is... totally fine? It's a stylistic device. It's part of the production. It's like getting mad that they never explain why there's score or lighting. Grow Up.

@DugPryce @dallas_comics He has a distinctive style and I have known him 30 years. The genius in that Superman picture is the building, that is Kelvinhall in Glasgow and is instantly recognisable. He is an astonishing artist really.
