@harveyspistols @DocStrangelove2 @NighthawkCustom I cloned Duke Nukem’s 1911 from Duke Nukem Forever (I’ve one of like 5 people who really likes that game), only it’s on a Para Ordnance frame and Sig 1911 XFull slide so I get double the capacity and a red dot.

@jimo211b The handcrafted, handfitted nature of a custom 1911 is the closest I can feel to an expertly crafted katana. That is the best way I can describe the immense enjoyment to a Japanese person. I got the parts, I laid out the specifications to my gunsmith, and he built it for me.

Someday, I want to buy a Langdon Tactical full size Beretta 92G at some point and put on a Sig Romeo-X Enclosed red dot and Surefire X400U light. But I also want to make it look like the Samurai Edge from Resident Evil. Wonder what the best way to get that would be. Hmm…

@jimo211b Every 1911 fan in America needs at least one all custom 1911 to call his own IMO. A custom built 1911 to my exact specifications makes me feel like a samurai getting an expertly crafted katana from a master swordsmith.

@jimo211b It’s actually an all custom gun. Sig 1911-XFull slide (because it can take a red dot) on a Para Ordnance frame (double stack capacity). Really cool gun. Don’t think there’s another one like it in the entire world.

@TISBIGGUSDICKUS I don’t own a Beretta 92 yet so my plan is to just buy a full gun outright from Langdon Tactical. But I wanted to figure out which configuration is closest in looks to a Samurai Edge while also having all the features I want. heh

@guns_ok Yup. My frame actually didn’t come with a rail but I bought an aftermarket rail that my gunsmith pinned and welded on. Works very well and was a classic way back in the day of adding a rail to a gun until integrated rails became common.

@guns_ok And yeah, I want to get a Samurai Edge after. Get a nice Langdon Tactical Elite Beretta 92, then put on the STARS grips. Like my Duke Nukem 1911, it’s not an exact replica but the same gun from the game modernized for modern defensive use.

@guns_ok Yeah. Very impressive for a 100 year old design. I can add better ergonomics, more accurate barrel, better trigger, a red dot mount, a rail to mount a light, and a double stack frame for more capacity. Everything I want a modern pistol to do, I can upgrade a 1911 into. Very cool.

@guns_ok Oh yeah, though I do enjoy a good modernized 1911 as well. Customized my gun to look like Duke Nukem’s. One day, I will buy a Beretta 92 and put on some STARS grips to look like a Samurai Edge.
