We had a black Bhishma, Asian Vidura, 4 Caucasian Pandavas and one African Bhima. Only Draupadi was Indian here 😂

What are the Indian action directors even doing? Don't they have any self respect, dignity, shame as a fraternity? Can't they evolve, learn, upgrade their skills? Why is our own action still stuck in the 20th century?

Dhurandhar had a Korean action director. Same with Kill. Yrf too uses them in their action flicks now. Ignorant people revel in Hollywood/foreign action dir. working in big Indian films like it's a good thing. It just highlights the inefficiency & mediocrity we have.

Today, the best action choreography is not done by Hollywood. That honor is with the Korean entertainment industry now. The sophomore season of Bloodhounds has the best fight scenes I've seen in a long time. It's so bloody good!

My lecture at NSE on the Relative Performance of Indian States since 1960. It makes the case that India's East-West imbalance can only be solved by creating at least one high-growth urban engine in Eastern India that matches Mumbai-Pune, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. The best candidate for this revival is Kolkata. A dynamic Kolkata - networked through to Patna, Bhubaneshwar, Ranchi and Guwahati - would drive Eastern India. Separately, we need to stop thinking of Punjab as a "rich" state.
