Ruben Amorim was the one that used a “useless” formation according to them but that useless possession gave us more xG in matches, that “useless” formation engaged our attack more and they were productive unlike the “useful” formation and the DNA Carrick came with. Under Ruben Amorim, everyone was a contributor, it was more of a team performance. Under Michael Carrick, some players are left out, it’s more of individual performance. It was very obvious Ruben Amorim improved already but I guess I was the only one that saw it.
