Why don't they just prevent anyone from taking a mobile phone into the Crucible auditorium? It would make things a lot easier. #Snooker

I appreciate not everyone is a monarchist but in my opinion that speech was better in tone than anything we have heard from our various Prime Ministers over at least the last decade. #GodSaveTheKing

Loving that speech from King Charles. So much obvious affection for the King from across the political divide in the US. Let's hope this helps reset the US/UK relationship in these troubled times. The value of the monarchy clearly on display.

Thank you to King Charles and Queen Camilla for everything they are doing to represent the UK in the USA over the next few days. This visit very much demonstrates the importance of the monarchy in extremely challenging times.

That was the dullest FA Cup Semi Final I have ever seen. Thank goodness for @Coventry_City for providing some entertainment today

Very sorry to hear my former Hillingdon Council colleague Alan Chapman has died. May he rest in peace.

Pretty remarkable how half-hearted the defence of Starmer was from Labour MPs in the Commons.

@iainlindley True but I think the public are fed up of performative politics.

@DuncanFlynn81 Do you really think he made a fool of himself? Totally suits his narrative to be thrown out for “telling truth to power”. He knew exactly what he was doing and none of his target audience will think any worse of him for it.

Weird that there was no sign of Nigel Farage in the Commons for Starmer's statement. Also bizarre that Reform thought Lee Anderson (who characteristically made a fool of himself) was the best person to lead for them.

@RobGurneyOnAir You were the voice of Coventry City when I was a child and I'm delighted that you are still the voice of Coventry City now I'm a dad in my mid 40s. You are a credit to your profession and the City of Coventry. Hopefully you are only just getting started now we are back in the PL.

When 16 year old me started in this business & when @Stuart_Linnell took a huge chance on me at 20, I couldn’t possibly have imagined that my #PUSB commentary would be on 3 BBC network radio stations, & I’m going on the World Service to talk @Coventry_City later..🩵🥹

Awful that London's Jewish population is having to endure this terror. I hope extra Police resources are being provided to reassure and protect and that the book will be thrown at the perpetrators bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

A brilliant evening to be a @Coventry_City fan. Thank you to the players, Frank Lampard, Doug King, Mark Robins and the amazing supporters for bringing us back to the big time. We'll be a force in the Premier League next season. #pusb

Despite what many people on here say, the majority of people in liberal Western democracies don't want to return to the social policies of the 1930s. The culture wars agenda is not the vote winner many on the hard Right believe it to be. Well done Hungary!

For someone who talks endlessly about his expertise in dealmaking and "the art of the deal", Trump & his associates are truly terrible at diplomatic negotiations. From North Korea & Ukraine/Russia through to Gaza & Iran, no deal is the invariable outcome bbc.co.uk/news/live/cn4v…

As great a supporter of horse racing as JP McManus is, I'm not sure it is a great sign for the sport that three of the first four home in the Grand National are owned by the same person. And before anyone accuses me of being bitter, I won money on one of them.

Remember this like it was yesterday. It was 25 years ago. But the man was right. As of today, after a lot of downs and a few ups, my team @Coventry_City are back in the big time. Well done to all involved. Brilliant news for the club and the city #pusb

Objectively another top Grand National and I am Maximus is clearly one of the best of all time (first horse to win with top weight since Red Rum 52 years ago). The only problem is Willie Mullins is just so insanely good that the element of unpredictability has now been lost

Without wishing to sound overly negative on the ceasefire, when did Trump, Witkoff, Kushner and Vance ever achieve diplomatic success?
