👉 Our team has secured permission from the High Court to proceed with a judicial review challenge to the Home Office policy “Nationality: Good Character Requirement”. The Court also directed that one of our claimants be treated as a lead claimant in the proceedings.

Our client was represented by Simon Robinson, Ben Nelson and Kristen Allison, instructing Chris Buttler KC and Jack Boswell of @MatrixChambers.

The Upper Tribunal ruled in favour of our client, finding that the Home Office had acted unlawfully by imposing this condition on RG’s leave to remain in the UK. 👏

After years in danger, the family left Afghanistan in January 2026. They arrived safely in the UK one month later.

Despite the positive decision, relocation did not move forward. With the family still at risk, we began pre-action protocol proceedings to challenge the delay.

An Afghan Police & Special Forces officer who worked alongside the UK regiment was twice refused relocation. He spent years in hiding from the Taliban with his wife & two young children. Our team have now secured their safe arrival to the UK. 👏
