Happy New Year. Who knows what 2020 has in store for Dunmurry Spring Golf Club.

Latest HIRLAM model showing heavy rain moving in from the West tomorrow and turning to a wintry mix of sleet and wet some in some areas but mainly on higher ground. Heavy rainfall on saturated ground could lead to some spot flooding.

The latest weather model charts showing risk of snow Wednesday into Thursday. Mainly high ground that is at risk but some wet snow could fall at lower levels for a while. Staying bitterly cold for the week.

Another 10mm of rain last night taking our total to around 80mm of rainfall for the last 14 days!! Testament to great drainage and hard work by Johnny and his team we have a 15 hole open for the weekly turkey comp. @OpenGolfIreland @greenkeepingire

Thank you to everyone who attended last nights Men’s club AGM. We would like to thank outgoing captain Mark Doran for all his diligent work throughout 2019 and wish incoming captain Alfie Walsh the very best of luck for 2020.

We are delighted to see a commitment to progress and further investment by the owners with the recent purchase of Toro 4700d mower. With Johnny at the helm making the course as playable as possible at all times it’s always good to share positive news like this.

When the frost cleared it was a fantastic day. Lots of availability to play tomorrow and weather forecast is similar to today. Unbeatable value for green fees and new members.

A frosty start as the sun rises over Carlow with a low of -1.9c at my station. A lovely bright sunny day ahead so wrap up and get out and enjoy the fine weather. Best of luck to everyone taking part in the #DublinMarathon

We sadly regret to advise of the death of our member, Brendan McKeown, who passed away on Sunday 20.10.19 Funeral arrangements; Reposing at his home (R51 FF21) on Monday from 4:00pm. Removal on Wednesday at 11:15am to arrive at the Sacret Heart Church, Nurney, for 12:00 mass.
