@Tagore1069 @crockpics I was at Charlton the year befo5with Lou Reed and Humble Pie. They weren't very good. Pete says he can't remember the gig! But I saw their Xmas gig at Hammy Odeon. Magnificent!

@FootballRamble His bank manager doesn't think he's a bonehead but he was out of his depth at Chelsea. His handling of the media was appalling. For a man with a degree he came over as inarticulate and cliched as well as bad tempered. His Brighton record was patchy too.

'This is not a victory of a party, or of any class. It's a victory of the great British nation as a whole.' Actor Timothy Spall performs Churchill's victory speech that he made in May 1945, as Britain marks its 80th anniversary since VE Day. trib.al/cuU210g 📺 Sky 501

Asked the Prime Minister about the fact it’s baltic and folk can’t afford their energy bills. Not sure he cared much.

That 6,000 crowd at Sheffield United tonight is a big worry for the future of the FA Cup. Years of managers picking virtual reserve teams has sadly led to a lot of fans saying : “ If you don’t care , why should we ? “

In Singapore, everyone over 21 is automatically registered as an organ donor. Those who opt out are placed at the bottom of the organ priority list if they ever need a transplant. Do you think this is a good system?

@AdamBienkov @MarinaPurkiss And of course he won v Goldsmith who ran a distinctly dodgy campaign against him. Another triumph over the puerile right wing bigots that ran this country for 14 years.

A reminder that Sadiq Khan won three elections in a row by large majorities against Conservative opponents, one of whom, Shaun Bailey, was then given a seat in the House of Lords for life. Funnily enough I don't remember the Daily Mail describing that as a "reward for failure"

Money doesn't come from nowhere. Someone has to work for it. So when Elon Musk and the other billionaires have hundred of billions of dollars. They have to create millions of people who have nothing. Do you understand?

Today marks 33 years since Saint & Greavsie showed this montage of own goals, goalkeeping mistakes and football gaffes, which were featured on the show during the previous 12 months. Just delightful viewing.

@NickMillward @pjm1041154730 @TedUrchin True. But if Labour didn't appoint their own to the Lords there would only be Tory and Lib Dem voices in the Upper House. It needs replacing with a democratic reforming chamber.

@pjm1041154730 @TedUrchin Labour has historically called for the system to be abolished but then used it to reward it’s supporters. Eg knighthoods for Branson and Sugar very shortly after both endorsed Labour at the 97 election.

@M_dot_A Just a small point. He was born in 1933 so not a "Boomer". I'm a Boomer born in 1954 and if you are suggesting all boomers are right wing nasties you are wrong. i grew up in 60's, the start of a more enlightened age.

@JonathanPieNews You are usually very funny but you seem to ignore the fact you are also part of the Democrats problem portraying him as moron and such like, not that you would have had any influence on the way Americans vote of course.
