Thinking about why clean MTT decisions break under pressure. Building something to train execution, not theory.

I’m building a decision training app for MTTs. Not another content library more about making common spots feel familiar so decisions come out clean under pressure. That’s the idea, anyway. #poker #MTT #pokerstudy

Most players overcomplicate poker. Here’s 90% of your winrate: • Value bet thinner • Fold more vs heavy agg • Stop hero-calling bc of “blockers” • Punish capped ranges • Master solid preflop fundamentals Build strong fundamentals + gameplan. What would you add?

Doyle Brunson is the GOAT. I hope we all agree on this. Now fill the 4 legend spots below him.

Anyone got any good recommendations for poker coaches (ideally based in the UK)? Primarily cash game focused.

@VanjaPoker Great advice. Although it’s easier said than done. I try to take one conscious breath after every hand, good or bad. It creates a small pause so the brain resets to neutral. If multi tabling, even doing it every minute or so helps.

Poor emotion regulation is destroying your winrate. To deal with your emotions, do the following: 1. Take a break and accept what happened. 2. Allow yourself to feel the emotions; don’t suppress them. 3. Stay calm, breathe deeply and slowly. You will immediately feel better.

@FarazJaka Would you think, a disciplined player with a level head , outweighs the other traits?

One of the things I love about poker is that there isn’t just one way to be good. Some are elite at math. Others avg with numbers but great at reading people, managing emotions, & adjusting. Both can win through different strengths. What skills do you think matter most?

Nice little start to Sunday. Snagged a seat into the $525 Bounty Hunters. Let's see how it goes.

Standard spots should feel boring. If your openfold decisions, reshove ranges, or obvious bubble adjustments still feel tense, you’re probably burning mental energy before the genuinely tough decisions even arrive. Lately I’ve been thinking improvement isn’t always about learning more. It might be about making common spots automatic so your focus is saved for the hands that actually matter.

@2NLChillGrind Im probably just folding or call small with a plan. Raising feels unnecessary unless you’re ready to barrel multiple streets. If I call, I’m attacking good turns and giving up versus strong double barrels. but worked out well in end. i

Am I a maniac 🤪or a genius 🥸⁉️ Thinking here was that the flop was better for my range on the big blind compared to small blind, hence the raise on the flop. Would you have played it differently? 🤔 Bit of a luck and I hit the gut shot on the turn. 🎯 Call-happy villain gives us some value with 2nd pair. My line is inevitably incorrect. Any suggestions for improvements welcome! 👇
