Despite this, I do feel sorry for US police. Given the country's love of guns, they need to be overly protective to save themselves from harm.

Deputies Nikko Miller and Jeremy Jucutan used a Taser and deployed K9 Vader, respectively, on Anglero-Wyrick, who was bitten for about a minute, causing severe injuries requiring multiple surgeries. A records release to The Press Democrat confirmed that Sergeant Brian Parks, Deputies Nikko Miller, and Jeremy Jucutan were disciplined for their roles in the violent arrest, though specific details of the discipline (e.g., suspension, retraining, or termination) were not disclosed.
