I wanted to express my thoughts.. so here I am. I’ll always be passionate about Final Fantasy. Sure a lot may have changed but it’s still an amazing series to me. I’m a passionate collector. Im still striving to achieve what I can. I still consider myself as a known fanatic/collector within the communities but one thing I’ll say.. is not every game is for everyone and not every game is perfect.
I’m really old school and I love my turn based. It’s all I played growing up but I got out of my comfort shell and started appreciated the stories and combat in FFXII-XVI. I had big time motion sickness so I was a late bloomer too. Sure it wasn’t my style but they were all beautifully made once I got used to it. I really appreciate XII and XIII and its unique combat. The music. The characters. XV and XVI and its emotional stories and super fun combat. It may not be for everyone and there may be some iffy moments within each game but that doesn’t take away its passion for the series especially for us long time nostalgic fans. We don’t MIND it. Sometimes we wish to have that nostalgic vibe back again but thats ok because it’s refreshing to see something new with each game.
I’m loving the remakes but nostalgia will always be with me and my childhood and if it’s not turn based it’s OK. There are a few FF games that I disliked or didn’t get into but I’m not going to start posting about it. Those games I disliked may be someone’s favorite. I respect people’s love for the games because each one is a memory of them playing it at one point in their life when things were tough.. saddening or just wanting to have a good time. My community hears my opinions. I’m sure my friends at SE see them too. Constructive criticism is always good but damn twitter sure has a way of showing me the nasty posts that aren’t so kind. (Bless block/mute) but as a hardcore FF fan.. JRPG fan.. I appreciated each difference and change whether it was with the graphics or combat. Even enjoyed VA’s too. Even if it was a bit cheesy part of me felt like a kid again.
I love this series and nothing will change that. Say what you will.. but everyone is entitled to what they love because we are all different and think different. We are of all ages. I’m 45 this year.. and this series was there for me since day 1. Of you want a good example of someone who knows passion and love for something… I’m that gal. Some prefer more retro and some prefer modern. Some prefer darker stories some prefer lighter. Bashing the JRPG community with games you hate or saying mean things about Remake/Rebirth sounds like it may be a YOU problem or wanting attention.
Sure Final Fantasy games aren’t perfect.. but I overlook the small negatives and look at the huge positives.
Share more love guys. I know Twitter may not be the best to express but If you ever want to talk Final Fantasy I’ll always be here. I’ve been on a podcast hiatus so I’m ready to return to those who have asked. Grief sucked me in for a long time. 🥰 I’ll be posting more FF content soon. I’m getting ready to return to my daily collector posts.
How do we feel about World of Final Fantasy?
I liked the gameplay concept stacking monsters at different sizes, and the FF cameos, but it also has some of the worst writing and cringiest dialogue in the whole series. Makes Kingdom Hearts look like Charles Dickens.
All I’m saying is it feels like an attack at this point. Constructive criticism is ok but it’s all fuckin negative now. Be better.
Also If you haven’t even played the games and you are shitting on them then fuck off. Hating and bashing a game without knowledge is dumb as fuck.
Oh god the constant yap about “modern” vs “og” Final Fantasy fans. As someone whose been passionate about the series from the start we are ALL fans. It’s not all about fight, items, magic, run. We like different ways of combat/strategy. JRPG fans understand. Change is refreshing.
Magfest was a blast! Had so much fun with everyone I chatted with ❤️
Extra love for the people there who recognized my necklace 🦁 (by ledragonargente.com)
@YunalesckaGames I truly adore and love Final Fantasy VI, I received my copy at 10 years old for my birthday and have always had this beautiful soft spot for it.
It’s a Christmas miracle! I am so beyond grateful and humble by everyone who watches my videos and has made this possible. I love talking about video games and spreading positivity because it’s just such a fun pastime. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 😊 🙏❤️
Played Secret of Evermore for a few hours today. Last time I beat this game must've been over 20 years ago. Never played it back to back with Mana like this before, either, and I'm immediately struck by some QOL and polish they added to the formula, although I miss the Mana OST.
