I'm also grateful to CBS News and BET for giving me the privilege of producing a serious long-form story about modern music. I didn't think I'd get this sort of journalistic opportunity so soon after quitting my job and it feels like a luxury because of the BET audience.

@lyneka I actually enjoyed it quite a bit, though I went in with extremely low expectations. I also enjoy just listening to Whitney live performances, which is what the movie mostly amounted to. The fact that it went light on the drama with Bobby and drugs was sort of a relief for me.

Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs. After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery. Thanks for all the well wishes/prayers. Have a good weekend
