I am lost for words. Met an author who loftily informed me he was published by the 'big boys.' On discovering I was indie published, he adopted a 'dog shit moustache' & said. 'You must feel such a failure. Everyone knows no one reads anything unless it's published properly."

@AstralStrikes Haha, a hat!? Yeah. I just remember hunting a seemingly harmless monster that was a scavenger. Had to beat it up and watch it try to limp away. Tracked it down to its nest and killed it. That's when I struggle... Big mean killer monster? Sign me up! Cute monster? :(

Hey, if you are X, Y, and Z, you can't publish! White and male? Nope! Too many of those! Straight? Bah! Where's the rep!? /s

@cottageinwood That’s an interesting perspective. Honestly, I think it’s a case by case thing. Some are definitely cashing in on their fame but others are pursuing something they are passionate about which at the end of the day is a good thing.

Personally, I absolutely hate it when celebrities publish novels, poetry collections, children's books, etc. If they aren't going to use a pseudonym and publish their work like everyone else, it doesn't deserve to get published.

Today has been a crap shoot. Thankfully, I'm off tomorrow. I did some reading and writing today so it wasn't a complete waste. My hope is a good night's sleep fixes everything else.

Rise of the Cheat Potion Maker's Kindle deal (a special discount to 2.99 selected by Amazon) will be going on for the month of October. I've been selected for quite a number of these actually. I need to remember to say something. Though Amazon advertises that anyway.
