@TahiraOsman4 Can't wait for #SanditonS3, all the reasons he will fiddle with his ring - jealous of Ralph, fighting for Charlotte, helping Georgina, proposing to Charlotte. It is going to be great!
Colbourne fidgets with his pinky ring when he's nervous, and I love that it's an outward manifestation of inward anxiety. It makes him softer somehow, more human.
I wonder if this gesture was scripted, or if it's pure Ben? Either way, it's perfect.
#Sanditon#SanditonS2
Happy Father's Day to this fine gent and all the dads out there!
P.S. I love that #SanditonS2 asks what it means to be a father by portraying unconventional complexities of the role, proving that love >>> biology.
@Felicia1866@JaclynCherry83@LadyLu1990 Ditto. The book was a fun, easy read. RL at times demands too many brain cells all at once. The book was a good distraction. The War and Peace 2016 BBC adaptation were brilliant. It had depth, good casting. In hindsight, the czar was much more likable now. Who knew!!! 🤣😝
@Dusty19122@JaclynCherry83@LadyLu1990 Maybe I’ll pick it up again because it will take me so long to get through it. I will also check out Discovery of Witches (to read). I watched the first episode and didn’t care for it, which is weird because I think Matthew Goode is wonderful.🤷🏻♀️
@Dusty19122@JaclynCherry83@LadyLu1990 That’s a good idea. I started reading it a few months ago, but got sidetracked. I think I’m going to cave and watch that one before reading the book. I’ve never read it!
@Felicia1866@JaclynCherry83@LadyLu1990 Slim picking for sure. I started to re-watch War and Peace 2016 (nice czar casting 😝... who would have thought 5 years later I would be obsessed). My favourite couple in it was Nikolai and Marya.
@Dusty19122@JaclynCherry83@LadyLu1990 I think I’m running out of ideas! I’ve been watching non-period shows with the hubby. I’ve got North & South coming, but 6 months sounds like a long time!
@JaclynCherry83@outlanderfan_nl Nodding, Sidney up to the Regatta lashes out at Charlotte, he was angry at himself, at having put upon by his family/made a guardian, still smarting from Eliza, a toxic mix & if he hurt so should others around him. Charlotte's love for life/humanity was a thorn to him.
@LorriRoseG She was a great addition to the storyline. I loved her practicality, grounded in her beliefs but not never on a pedestal. Slavery is wrong; her approach to Esther and the scene where she and her brother were fully on board with George being Esther's son.
@Dusty19122@LadyLu1990 I think it’s so sad that there seems to be very little follow through or follow up after a hoarding situation is identified. From what I’ve seen on the shows, even if the person cleans the house up there is a high chance of relapse.
@QiSpread IMO producers/writers having Sidney push daisies was a blessing in disguise. It gave them the freedom to take all the good parts of #Sanditon & incorporated them into #Sanditon2; the training wheels came off behind & in front of the camera &the series came into its own right.
@Dusty19122 Yes! So grateful to everyone that was involved in renewing #Sanditon! Against all odds! They almost threw in the towel when the Sidney/Charlotte story wasn't possible... I'm so relieved they continued with our beloved series and didn't recast Sidney. #SanditonS2 is brilliant 💗

@Dusty19122@ains_may@rilian1128@JaclynCherry83 Jason also explained that when Theo (after reading the script of s2) rejected to return, they had to invent whole story from scratches and J decided to give Charlotte fresh start. I wonder how much initial ideas he used in #SanditonS2 (e.g AC' abolitionism came from SP?)
@Felicia1866@LadyLu1990 My problem is, that I get snippets of the story from a firefighter, a cop, an EMT, or an Emerg doc. So when I ask" and then?" ... I get "oh, I don't know... it was handed over too..." I get the promo so to speak without the rest.
