🚨 Matt Law reveals the true roles of Chelsea’s Sporting directors as Chelsea believe there is an mis understanding.
Winstanley - NOT responsible for identifying targets. His role is the delivery of targets, contracts and sales, as well as medical and player support.
Stewart - Budget planning and style of play, as well as medical.
Shields - Identifying targets through scouting, as well as planning the first team squad. Heavily involved with loans, too.
Jewell - Squad identification and scouting, but both Chelsea and Strasbourg.
Fallows - Data, scouting and background checks on players, an area which Chelsea are likely to lean heavily on this summer.

@Splintermode I don't mate. Tbh, most people would hate all the losing I have to go through to find these winners. It's profitable (extra profitable through the exchange) - but some stretches are dismal - I've just learned to live with the variance.
English

@CFCPys @City_Xtra I'd buy more into the mind games if they had to travel to London for their midweek game vs Palace. Whatever edge we can recover we would take - and it would have been something (albeit miniscule).
The odds will be against us for a reason - but stranger things have happened. 🤷♂️
English

@CFCPys @David_Ornstein If they were serious, they'd get it done in the next few days.
Wreaks of typical PR BS, pretending they're going after quality but then pull the bait-and-switch and end up with something mid like Iraola or Marco Silva.
Basically - believe it when you see it.

The information we have is that Chelsea are exploring a deal for Xabi Alonso and that he would be open to this possibility. It would seem that Alonso is at the forefront of Chelsea’s minds at the moment but the process continues. Expect news in next days / weeks. (@David_Ornstein @TheAthleticFC podcast)

@RKO682 @SeasonedPick I use Timeform and just watch a lot of replays. It takes a while, but tbh, my strike rate on outsiders is about 4%, so I lose A LOT of races. I'll find about a good handful or so of 20/1+ winners a month though, and the place rate helps smooth some of the variance.
English

@DutchingPost @SeasonedPick Where do you find information that they like the ground? By the way nice pick.
English

@SeasonedPick Duckadilly was a previous race.
I meant Tillyiver who finished last. Lol
English

@SeasonedPick Out of the horses that liked the ground, there were only two outsiders, and I backed both Duckadilly and Local News. Other horses liked the ground, but I prefer backing big prices. BSP was 301 on the exchange, but I didn't back the BSP! 🤦♂️

@CFCPys @ChelseaFC Moi has got the quality, but despite the stats, I thought he was average today - but most of are players are/were.
Better than previous games, but still average.

🚨 Moises Caicedo vs Liverpool :
1 through ball - MOST
1 big chances created - MOST
2 successful take-ons
2 tackles won - MOST
2 clearances
3 recoveries
3 chances created - MOST
10 duels won
Caicedo is the first player to put up these stats in a match since James Maddison back in 2024. - @statmusefc

@CFCPys For a shred of positivity, it might give us a little bit of confidence and momentum heading into the FA Cup final.
Winning that is our only (slim) hope of getting European football.
English

@CFCPys Seen them given, but equally seen the team it's given against be absolutely pissed that it's been given. Not a pen for me.
English

@CFCPys Levi's energy, presence, and vocal leadership, has been sorely missed this season. He's reminding us of that today.
English

@CFCPys Not as sad at seeing a player we let go showing more ability than any of wingers not named Estevao. On the left wing at that!
Well played SDs. Fucked it again! 😅

@TullyMatt @jdgwright @AtTheRaces @TomMarquand @ChesterRaces Another emotionally sensitive soul, and one who lacks understanding.
I understand every word I write - and the only immature thing are your responses. You'll eventually grow up and understand everything I wrote is normal adult speak.
Best of luck with your emotions.
English

@DutchingPost @jdgwright @AtTheRaces @TomMarquand @ChesterRaces As if your first reply was mature. Plus you used words you don't fully understand. Anyway have a good one.
