I remember a former colleague on the body recovery team going to the deadliest tsunami in history in 2004. He saw 1000s & 1000s of bodies. It finished him, never been the same since.

@Greek_Phil @OliverPridmore The problem is it's sometimes fairly easy to become desensitised to death when you see it so often. I had never even seen a dead body before I joined up. After 30 + years it became a regular occurrence (every 2 weeks or so). A dead body becomes a crime scene at murder scenes.

@FOnens What a lot of them forget is we spent 5 seasons in the Prem. In that time we beat Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea, Tottenham & Arsenal. We never managed to beat Man City but their financial conduct is questionable. We await the result of the charges still pending against them.

@LegalGengar I met many good DS's in my service. But, some absolute whoppers too. Mostly they were Masons, given the role by fellow Masons, and basically doing nothing throughout their service.

This may explain my interactions with a particularly woke/thick-as-shit Detective Sergeant.
