Our Student Services Department partnered with DHS Principals and connected face-to-face with families to remind them that they are not alone — we’re here, we care, and we believe in their success. Parents, as temperatures and wind chills are expected to be very low tomorrow morning, please ensure your students are dressed warmly and appropriately for the cold weather. Dr. LaSonja Flowers, a proud Oak Cliff native, uses her more than 25 years of educational experience to build relationships and create a positive school culture. Her mission is to ‘Transform the Educational Experiences of Minority Students’ through her work as an educational consultant and her role on the Board of Trustees. Dr. Flowers draws inspiration from caring teachers, like Ms. Carmen, who made a lasting impact on her life. Now, as an advocate for students, she’s paying it forward by focusing on instruction, equity, and cultivating a supportive culture in our schools.
