It's kind of staggering how many of the churches Paul planted ended up turning on him, and how many leaders moved into those communities and criticized him. Pastors, don't be surprised, and above all, love anyway and also contend for the hearts of your people in prayer.

Gospel witness isn’t just a matter of pragmatism (bc it's effective), a matter of duty (bc it’s right), an act of compassion (bc it's loving); it is a matter of worship (it’s for God’s fame).

If you're discontent in your current place, you'll be discontent in that other place you long for. If you can get content in your current place, you can be content anywhere. It's not about where you are but who you are.
