A 5 year old can't be trusted with this responsibility, some want to be dinosaurs aswell... we don't let them drive or have tattoos yet they are supposed to make lifechanging decisions. Nonsense. The children need to be protected. Also from their parents if necessary, as i think that parents who advocate for this are abusers themselves. A child does not have the tools to say no to their parents, for children parents are gods, they are fully dependant on them, so if the parents are abusing their responsibilites then society should step in as children have no way of defending themselves.

This is a very well documented phenomena in psychology, we know the brain is capable of it and it is a safety feature. I have met plenty of reasonable trans people, but usually they are also not freaking out on the internet and THOSE people need to get put away.
