Should you avoid Vitamin C when taking malaria drugs? Does malaria happen less often in certain genotypes? Why do we say "Malaria-Typhiod" Find out here👉🏾👉🏾 @thehippocraticoats/8-common-misconceptions-about-malaria-be526ba22f4c" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@thehippocrati

How are you different from those who lynched Deborah over blasphemy if you are enraged over a meme that Trump reposted?

All I know is, people were probably also saying “What difference will he make? All politicians are the same” about Alex Otti. Look at Abia State now.

@Ash_ogg Carrie is infuriating 😅😅. To me she was annoying from the very beginning. Her refusal to let things go always pay off though.

Police at a random hotel : Here’s a picture of 50 men we found yesterday evening with exotic cars like 2007 Toyota Camry and 2009 lexus es350. We think they are yahoo boy, but we will investigate later. Police at an actual crime scene in Ozoro where multiple women were rapped and assaulted with tons of videos : We’ve made a couple of arrests. We can’t show you who they are, but you just have to trust us.

Till today, anytime I think of the fact that the terrorists who killed Deborah Samuel over religion actually walked away as free men. The police prosecutor refused to come to court and the judge said there was no evidence. And Rhoda the woman from Bauchi who made a video criticising Deborah's murder was hunted, persecuted , and threatened. Illegally locked up for 18 months, for daring to question the killing of an innocent Christian girl by Extremist, and those who did that injustice also walked away free. Anytime I remember these things, I feel like crying. It's a lie. Let me be sincere, I don't feel like crying. I can't explain the feeling. But there is physical, emotional and spiritual pain and hopelessness and despair camouflaged with smiles. Just like most Christians in IDP camps who saw their loved ones massacred and shoveled into mass graves. But it takes a part of my life span every time. Those Jihadists did not just kill Deborah and persecute Rhoda. The sank a sword into the heart of Nigerian Christianity. Then they locked up Rhoda for daring to protest. They said we can kill you, celebrate it and persecute you and there is nothing you can do about it. Anytime, I remember the implication of what happened and the implications of the hundreds of other times that it happened in this Nigeria. And then I realise how unbothered most of our Christian leaders are about it all. I get that feeling all over again In the end I won't live very long, and it will be because every time I remember these events including Yelewata and the many that happened in Benue and Plateau etc, it actually reduces how long I will live, I know it. I envy Christians who can exist under such conditions and not feel a thing. I actually now wish I was like that. In the end , the jihadists are not just killing Christians physically, they are killing many of us slowly by reducing our life span with trauma, despair and hopelessness. It is not news that many of our people in IDP camps constantly think of taking their lives, some just don't have the courage or means. But the ones who will actually go through with did not kill themselves , they were killed by the jihadists who took away everything that they had to live for. Scientific evidence strongly suggests that witnessing an event as devastating as the Yelewata attack and losing loved ones in such a violent manner can significantly reduce a person's lifespan. Today my pain is even worse. But I will never stop, till I drop dead, and then my stories will continue.

Creating a thread I will periodically be updating based on some of the analysis I have gotten from our survey: - Male doctors earn more than female doctors, and the difference is statistically significant. - Median female nurse pay is higher than median male nurse pay. 1/n

Still working on the methodology a bit, but I will soon share a link to survey how much patient-facing HCWs are paid in Nigeria (MBBS, BDS, BNSc, RN, BPT, BPhysio) and establish the current national benchmarks. Please when it comes, make una help me RT and share abeg.

It’s very easy to say that you should use your money to fund international exams when you don’t live and work and a doctor in Nigeria, no matter how you explain how shit things are they still can’t get it . I wish everyone the best

As an adult who weighs more than 60 kg - arbitrary weight - you should not be saying things like: I only drink 2 sachets (100ml) of pure water a day. A 60 kg adult should take at least 2300ml [2.3L]. Don't overwork your kidneys. Regulate your blood pressure. With love, Ugbedeojo.

@ojimjim I had this exact conversation with some of our nurses this morning when I was trying to explain why I had to ask specifically about temperature after already asking the patient if he had fever. Turned out he was having Post-Op pain and some weakness which was to be expected.

One of the shocking things about practicing in Nigeria is that when you ask about fever, you also have to go ahead and ask if the patient’s body is hot because a good number of times they don’t know it means the same thing.
