Thats 87 points per season over PPG. That’s top 15 center numbers. He’s also an exceptionally reliable defensive center

Danny gives a good sentiment here and I agree with all of it, OTHER than the notion that he or anyone else thinks Mizzou has seriously been running from SLU of all schools in basketball for 25 years😂 give me a break

All I’ll say on Mizzou-SLU is that if Mizzou loses that game, the season is entirely over.

@MaggieLJohnson @WillieTheTiger That’s news to me. Would be interested in reading about that because it doesn’t track with what SLU is currently dealing with trying to get teams to schedule them. Regardless, I’m pleased it’s happening now. It should be an annual game

@MaggieLJohnson @WillieTheTiger If Mizzou wants to be the type of program they represent themselves as now with NIL where they can play with the big boys, it was well past time to put SLU on the books. Dennis Gates deserves credit for doing so.

@knowerofball05 @paytonisnotroll That’s an incredibly weak response. Leaning on the expansion of the tournament to further justify Mizzou’s usually very weak non conference is weak. Mizzou should play SLU every year. It’s good for the area and the programs to have another annual game that people get up for.

I’m not overly concerned with the history of the programs when discussing the 2026 version of them. If you prefer this phrasing, the expectation given the rosters should be that it’s Quad 1

You’re assuming a freshman will be one of the best players in the country in November. You’re just making wild assumptions.

Mizzou is bringing in one of the best players in the country in Jason Crowe Jr while SLU brought back almost their entire team plus landed 4 star big in Sheek Pearson. Why shouldn’t i expect Quad 1?

@WillieTheTiger You still get better results than playing the non conference garbage Mizzou normally runs out and its a good game for the area. Was dumb to avoid. If Mizzou was regularly scheduling strong non conference games, you’d have a stronger case Kudos to Gates for stepping up.
