PLAYER UPDATE | DYLAN SWITTERS Glossop North End can confirm that Dylan Switters was unfortunately forced to leave the field midway through the second half of yesterday’s fixture away at Chadderton with a suspected ankle injury. Dylan left the pitch on crutches, and the club would like to place on record our sincere thanks to all medical staff involved, including those at Chadderton, for their swift and professional assistance. Initial X-rays have confirmed there is no fracture to Dylan’s left ankle. However, the scans have revealed significant ligament damage. Dylan is now awaiting an MRI scan to determine whether there are any further tears and to fully assess the extent of the injury. Early assessments suggest the level of ligament damage sustained means his recovery timeline is likely to be similar to that of an ankle fracture, with an estimated rehabilitation period of approximately 8–12 weeks. As a result of the injury, Dylan will also be required to take time away from work. Despite the setback, Dylan remains in good spirits and is currently as comfortable as possible while beginning the recovery process.
