that was the first original idea of the game but canned it after realizing how many issues they had to face with optimizing larger scale areas. im glad they scaled down from the previous games to show off how even smaller setpieces can be stunning.

Now I realize we were too mean to Yakuza Dead Souls. At least that game was self-contained, had a good fun story, and actually had some of the best characterization of characters like Akiyama and Ryuji Goda. I'd rather have this than remakes
