When I sign copies of my books, Hebrews 1:3 is one of the Scriptures I put with the signature. That’s because I truly believe “He sustains ALL THINGS by His powerful Word.” EVERYTHING starts & stops with Jesus 🙏❤️

Ppl say they “can’t afford” to get the proper legal docs in place. But this slide from my legal talk says it all: If the docs aren’t in place & there’s an emergency, the $$ of having the court appoint you guardian &/or conservator is WAY MORE expensive. Save $$: Plan ahead!

This is a slide from my presentation of the legal material from my book “Everything I Wish I Had Known.” It’s a picture of what I actually see; folks know they need to do “something,” they just don’t know what, so they run willy-nilly. Check out the book on Amazon 😊

Time to name another character… Suggest a French code name for a German woman who’s a spy in 1944…. Remember : If I use the name you suggest, I’ll put YOUR name in the Acknowledgments section when the book is released!

We decided on the suggested name “Max Herrmann” for our fictional German book shop owner… THIS TIME… Come up w/a name for his fictional shop on The Strand😊 Remember: If I use the shop name you suggest, I’ll put YOUR name in the acknowledgments section in the published book!

“Anticipatory grief” means you’re experiencing a loss that’s coming in stages—& feeling that loss even before your loved one actually passes. Caregivers for people living with dementia absolutely know what this is. Learning about it—& learning to manage it—is vital self-care ❤️‍🩹

Are you a nurse, case manager or social worker? If so, take advantage of this course to help meet your continuing education requirements. It’s based on my book “Caring for a Loved One with Alzheimer’s or Other Dementia: Everything I Wish I Had Known.” hiscornerstone.com/product/everyt…

Caregivers frequently find themselves in situations that seem “impossible.” I remember having days feeling like I couldn’t do it 😳 But consider that God hasn’t changed. Impossible for us? Oh yes. But possible for God to bring us through & grow us in the process? Absolutely ❤️

I used to hear authors talk about fictional characters doing something unexpected, taking the story in an entirely unplanned direction. I thought that was nonsense; surely the author knows by planning exactly what’s coming 🙄 Well guess what I’m learning: IT’S TRUE!! 😳😲😂

I found people didn’t realize they were actually adding to my caregiver stress when they would dig into highly private matters like $$ & inheritance 😳 Offer to listen to the caregiver while they simply emote. Don’t push, dig or criticize. Offer support & try to encourage.

I’m developing a 6-part seminar based on my book “Everything I Wish I Had Known.” Came across the section dealing with difficult family situations & it made me think about how truly important forgiveness is. It’s NOT for the person who wronged you; it’s for YOU!

A great big Thanks to Karen Lynn Griffin for suggesting the last name “Herrmann” for my German bookshop owner! Stay tuned…in the next couple of weeks there’ll be other characters you can name—& if I use the name you suggest, I’ll put YOUR name in the book’s Acknowledgments 😊

I’m working a new book—a fictional cold case mystery 😲 I’ll intro characters—along w/various elements of the mystery—in coming weeks. I’m inviting YOU to suggest names of some of the characters 😃 If I use the name you suggest I’ll include YOUR actual name in Acknowledgments!

Young brains w/higher dependence on AI show lower critical thinking skills than older brains w/less AI use. Folks living w/dementia today never used AI…so what does this mean for today’s younger people—who ARE using this technology so much as they age? share.google/9gTDpe6wyAkZ2J…

Thinking critically is what allows us to “make up our own mind.” Studies are showing misuse of AI disrupts our critical thinking abilities. And I’ve seen firsthand that one thing dementia steals from people… …is the ability to think critically. share.google/9gTDpe6wyAkZ2J…
