Let’s be real... “Soft commitment” is the new middle ground. It's emotionally invested, consistently texting, spending time together… but never quite defined. It’s the “we go together, but we’re not together." Like having the perks of partnership without the accountability of one. And while independence is powerful, the desire for something real hasn’t disappeared... especially for Black women who still want intentional, secure love. So what are we actually gaining from soft commitment? #LetsDiscuss Are we protecting our peace… or avoiding real commitment? 🖤 Tap the link to read the full story: bit.ly/4cTnf9p

“My superpower is my hair and the family history it carries.” That’s the statement behind Kameirah Johnson’s powerful Doodle for Google finalist entry, Hair Power: The Crown that Grows From Us. Her artwork celebrates Black hair as culture, care, lineage, and resistance. At a time when conversations around hair discrimination and CROWN Act protections are still very real, this artwork deserves #Google homepage placement. If she wins, she’ll receive a $55,000 scholarship and her school will receive a $50,000 tech package. But beyond the prize, this is about visibility. About seeing coils, kinks, and crowns centered on one of the world’s biggest platforms. As the old saying goes... "It takes a village." #Swipe to meet Kameirah and learn more about her superpower. Your vote could potentially put Black hair on Google’s homepage as voting ends tomorrow April 29. 🖤 Credit: @google | Kameirah Johnson
