Through regional solidarity and expert collaboration, ECSA-HC Fellows and specialists will work side-by-side with local health professionals to strengthen surgical capacity, reduce patient backlogs, and improve access to quality healthcare across the region. The discussions moved beyond challenges to practical solutions: harmonized curricula, expanded fellowship accreditation, regional scholarships, and the establishment of a Regional Knowledge, Simulation and Virtual Learning Hub in Arusha, Tanzania. In his closing remarks, Dr. Ntuli Kapologwe reminded participants that strengthening nursing and midwifery is not only about workforce numbers, but about ensuring every community has access to skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals. Meanwhile, Dr. Glory Msibi emphasized the importance of harmonized standards, professional recognition, and stronger regional collaboration for the future of nursing and midwifery across Africa.
