In her remarks, the Guest of Honour underscored that equity, resilience, and sustainability must move beyond rhetoric to concrete action, calling on Member States to strengthen governance, invest in resilient health systems, and ensure no community is left behind. She further emphasized the urgent need for sustainable domestic health financing, warning that over-reliance on external funding weakens resilience and urging leaders to translate regional commitments into measurable national impact. The session featured the launch of the WHO Guidance and Toolkit on Scaling Innovations in Public Health Systems, underscoring the region’s commitment to evidence-driven and scalable solutions.
