Loved this Rashford performance, not just the goal but I think he looked threatening for most of the game, always driving the play and trying to create something, making runs into space. I also liked his chemistry with Joao. But in terms of pressing and off the ball work in general, I still believe he can do better and show more intensity. I’m not asking him to be a “pressing dog” like Raphinha, but even a 30% increase in his off the ball intensity would be enough to make a big difference.

I think Flick’s idea is working really well, at least offensively. Doing that away from home, it’s really hard to criticise Flick. Yes, the defensive approach is risky, but the attacking trade-off feels worth it, especially now that they’re down to ten men.
