@gotrice2024 I always treat my patients as if their my relatives and or friends because I would want my family and friends receiving the best care and not to mention it’s my fucking job my career people love playing with their licenses as if school wasn’t brutal and expensive.
This woman was at the emergency room waiting to be seen, all of a sudden someone who was also waiting just collapses onto the floor.
She is outraged that at least a minute went by, nobody even batted an eye. The other people waiting just sat there on their phones, the workers behind the desk didn’t even look up, nurses walked by and didn’t say a word.
If you saw this happen in front of you and you were waiting to be seen, would not it make you think twice about being treated at a facility that just doesn’t care?
@gotrice2024 Idc if she’s a frequent flyers a lot of frequent flyers have actually died because of the way some medical professionals think and it’s dangerous y’all should want someone who does their job no matter what because this could be your family member.
@gotrice2024 Idc if she’s faking or not me as a paramedic it’s not my job to say if their lying or not it’s my job to act we have a duty to act regardless of the situation patient care comes first and if she’s on the floor that needs attention period they have no since of urgency and it’s sad
@gramabigden@deanngan@gotrice2024 The medical field then that’s not the career for them simple having your mentality will get a lot of people killed I have seen it happen ego, laziness, lying, etc…. I’ve seen it all in the medical field and from medical providers it truly saddens me that this is healthcare.
@gramabigden@deanngan@gotrice2024 Current Paramedic here and it doesn’t matter how you feel this is why patient care is shitty now in the hospitals because your way of thinking it is our jobs to provide patient care regardless of what we believe or what the patient has done in the past. If people can’t handle -
@deanngan@gotrice2024 As an EMT/ Paramedic we were taught to listen to every patient and believe what their telling you even if it sounds like a load of shit we have a duty to act regardless and have to treat every patient even the frequent flyers as if their in need of medical attention.
I worked in ED for years. I have seen what we call frequent flyers come in. We had a couple of the do this exact thing. I watched a lady purposely make herself fall out of a wheelchair so she could get back quicker. I’m not saying this what happened in this case but , you wound be surprised what people will do for drugs.
@deanngan@gotrice2024 This is very true your not wrong but at the same time as medical professionals we can’t always be certain that’s what it is because sometimes feeling like that make you complacent and believing that this person is only there for drugs and then you’ll miss something important.
