Archax joining The Hashgraph Association’s Global Membership Program is a strategically significant development for the institutional adoption of @hedera At first glance, it may look like a routine ecosystem announcement. In reality, it deepens the relationship between one of Europe’s most regulated digital asset platforms and one of the most enterprise-focused distributed ledger ecosystems in the market. @ArchaxEx is the UK’s first FCA-regulated digital asset exchange, broker and custodian, headquartered in London. Founded by former capital markets executives, the company was built specifically to bridge traditional finance and blockchain-based infrastructure. Its core business is the issuance, custody and trading of tokenized real-world assets for institutional investors. This is not a retail crypto platform. It is regulated market infrastructure designed for banks, asset managers and professional investors. According to Hedera’s official case study, Archax has already onboarded six major asset managers, tokenized more than 100 assets and facilitated over $300 million in tokenized value. The company uses the Hedera Token Service to represent ownership interests in institutional-grade money market funds and other financial products on-chain. These include products linked to some of the world’s largest investment firms, such as BlackRock, State Street, Aberdeen and Legal & General. In September 2025, Archax launched Pool Tokens on @hedera The first token held equal allocations of tokenized money market funds from Aberdeen, BlackRock, State Street and Legal & General, creating a natively digital fund-of-funds structure. This matters because money market funds are among the most widely used institutional cash-management instruments. By tokenizing these funds, ownership can be transferred and used as collateral with significantly greater operational efficiency. Settlement can occur faster, income distributions can be automated and collateral can move with less friction across markets. In July 2025, Archax facilitated a landmark transaction between Aberdeen and Lloyds Banking Group. Tokenized units of money market funds and UK gilts were used as collateral to support a foreign exchange trade, demonstrating that regulated digital assets can function within existing financial frameworks. @The_Hashgraph Association membership strengthens Archax’s access to a global network of enterprises, developers, universities and institutional partners focused on real-world adoption of Hedera. This provides greater visibility, technical collaboration and ecosystem integration. For Archax, it reinforces its position as a regulated gateway connecting traditional capital markets with decentralized infrastructure. For Hedera, it adds another institutionally credible participant to an ecosystem increasingly centered on tokenized funds, collateral management and compliant digital finance. It is important to distinguish this from the misunderstanding that emerged in April 2024. BlackRock publicly clarified that it had no direct commercial relationship with Hedera and had not itself selected Hedera for tokenizing its funds. The decision to tokenize fund interests on Hedera was made by Archax. That distinction does not reduce the significance of the development. It highlights the role of regulated intermediaries such as Archax in bringing traditional financial products onto blockchain infrastructure. The broader trend is unmistakable. Tokenization is moving from pilot projects to operational use cases. Ownership records, collateral movements and institutional fund structures are increasingly being represented on-chain.
