Hedera will begin deprecating AccountBalanceQuery with the July 2026 Consensus Node release (v0.75). This change is intended to improve network scalability and shift account balance lookups to more efficient alternatives. Please review the timeline below and prepare your applications accordingly: Please note that throttles will begin stepping down in May 2026. Key Dates • Feb–Apr 2026 – 40,000 rps (unchanged) • May 2026 – 20,000 rps • Jun 2026 – 10,000 rps • Jul 2026 – Removed (all requests will fail) If your app or service uses AccountBalanceQuery, please migrate account balance lookups to the Hedera Mirror Node REST API before July 2026.
