Russia is planning a large-scale resettlement of its citizens to the occupied territories of Ukraine, with more than 100,000 Russians expected to be relocated there, Ukrainian media report.

Just wrapped the first-ever joint visit of Nordic–Baltic ambassadors in 🇺🇦 to a frontline region. We chose Kharkiv — a vivid symbol of unbreakable resilience. As Europe’s largest supporter group of 🇺🇦, we're committed: on the ground, hearing real needs, standing firm together.

Kharkiv continues to bring together reliable partners around itself. Yesterday, we welcomed a powerful delegation—almost all of the ambassadors from the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) countries, who arrived in Kharkiv as a united team. This meeting was important not only for our city. Mayors of cities belonging to the Association of Frontline Cities and Communities also joined it. Because today, Ukraine's frontline belt is not just a line of defense. It is a space where the security of all of Europe is being decided. That is why international cooperation has become one of the key areas of the Association's work. We are strengthening cooperation with foreign partners, while horizontal ties between Ukrainian and European cities provide our communities with additional resilience. The stability of Europe tomorrow depends on how strong Ukraine's frontline communities are today. That is why it is time to move from individual initiatives to long-term strategic projects in our regions. For some of the diplomats, it was their first visit to Kharkiv, while for others, it was their third or fourth. And for some, our city has become close and familiar. But do you know what impresses foreign guests the most? It's not just the houses that have been rebuilt after enemy attacks, clean streets or even the world's first underground schools. They are most impressed by Kharkiv residents. The Ambassador of Estonia admitted that every time she visits Kharkiv, she feels more resilient. The Ambassador of Denmark spoke about his advisor, who lived in our city for two years, fell in love with it and is now lobbying the management to open a representative office here. European ambassadors note the incredible courage of both Kharkiv residents and people who were forced to flee the war and found a new home in our city. They are amazed at how our community maintains a normal rhythm of life under constant pressure and openly say there is much to learn from us. Our partners need this experience of managing a metropolis in crisis conditions. And we are ready to share it. A separate, extremely important topic of our conversation is energy. The NB8 countries are closely monitoring how Kharkiv is preparing for the coming winter and are ready to assist in creating an “Energy Island.” This is a huge challenge that the local budget cannot overcome on its own. Therefore, the support of the Nordic-Baltic Eight countries is literally a matter of life and death for us. I am sincerely grateful to the entire team of ambassadors from Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland! Thank you for the organization of this truly historic visit, for the initiatives that have already been implemented and for the ambitious plans that we will definitely bring to life together! @IngaTolockiene @AnnelyKolk @APildegovics @NorwayAmbUKR @DKAMBinUkraine @SwedeninUA @IcelandinPL

Grateful for the call today, dear @andrii_sybiha, and for the update on Ukraine and your work with partners facing Iran’s massive air attacks. Let’s be clear: the same Iranian-origin drones now terrorizing the Middle East are still raining destruction on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. Russia’s aggression hasn’t slowed, nor have its goals changed. Support for Ukraine and pressure on Russia must intensify. Estonia is pushing for the swift launch of the €90bn EU loan package agreed last year and a strong 20th sanctions package to tighten the screws on Moscow. Ukraine’s resilience is defending all of Europe. Our focus must remain unwavering.

The IPC: allows russia and Belarus to participate under their flags. Also IPC: prohibits Ukraine to participate under their map. The actual, internationally recognized map. Is there something you’re trying to tell us, @Paralympics?

So, calendar spring is here. Ukraine surviving this winter was not a miracle. It is tireless, professional, devoted, 24/7 work of Ukraine's energy workers and Defence Forces. Heroyam slava!
