5 transfers for ✍️ - Tranmere Rovers The five positions I have identified that need strengthening are Centre Back, Right Wing Back, Centre Mid, Attacking Mid and Striker. This one will be interesting as Tranmere have 13 contracted players going into next season and a new manager in Darrell Clarke who will feel like he has something to prove to himself and everyone about his ability to manage a successful team in League Two. With a complicated situation with Rovers’ owner, Mark Palios, it is unlikely there will be investment in terms of transfer fee’s paid so we will be looking at free transfers and loan deals. #SWA

Striker - Courtney Baker-Richardson (free) CBR is an experienced League two striker who would strive with 2 up front and no doubt with service he would score goals. His hold up play is good and Darrell Clarke likes to have a striker playing who can do selfless work for the team. For the past 2 seasons CBR has been with Newport and he hasn’t had the best couple of seasons scoring 8 times in 75 games. I believe in the right system he can score 10 goals and will offer work for the team which will make this a good signing.

AM - Nick Haughton (fee) Haughton hasn’t had the chances he needed at FGR to perform to the levels he should. He has been quality in the level below for years and even at 31 deserves a chance in the EFL. He is a bagsman from midfield which don’t come by often, he is a hard worker and is very tricky on the ball, having excellent ball control and a great ability to carry the ball up the pitch + getting out of tight areas. If you were to isolate his season with FGR he wouldn’t deserve a move to League Two but his work at AFC Fylde was simply outstanding. He is a club legend there and scored 110 goals from midfield. Unsure on his contract length but confident it wouldn’t take much for Tranmere to secure his services, so I can see this being a good fit and smart business.

Right Winger - Kaide Gordon (free/fee) - not sure on contract length ¿ Gordon after a few tough/failed loan spells needs a club where he’s gonna settle and fulfill his potential, at Stockport I feel he can hit the ground run in and in League One would produce some decent numbers. Gordon is quick off the mark and is unpredictable to opponents when dribbling, he also has shown moments where his dribbling can help ball carrying from deep. This would be a punt from County as they could go and get someone more proven at the level but I believe it would be a calculated punt and Gordon has the attributes to perform in League One.

Left Winger - Ryan Glover (fee) Coming off the back of two great seasons with Barnet and consistent interest in him in recent windows, Glover is set to make the step up to League One and his profile would suit County. He’s hard working and has good physical attributes for a smaller player. His pace and power will complement players like Wootton and Sidibeh and his ability to produce and create for his teammates will be a recipe for success for County’s front men who are bagsmen at the level. He creates 1.75 chances per 90 and has some of the best dribbling and duel stats in the league.
