It is both shameful and deeply disappointing that a minister of state could utter such words in defense of their comprehensive knowledge of the opposition, espousing grand ideas on governance and administration, only to assume office and become a source of embarrassment and a symbol of deceit and irredeemable failure. This is neither bravery nor a demonstration of “dues paid.” While your commitment and conviction are your own and not subject to question by Ghanaians, our concern lies with your duty to fulfill your mandate. The youth are not demanding excessive measures, merely the bare minimum of acting in accordance with the numerous opinions and suggestions you have expressed. You manipulate the very people who once heeded your call, the very people who made your convictions a reality. When accountability is demanded, you dismiss it with claims such as “I’ve paid my dues” and similar rhetoric. Your party holds power today, yet you are, knowingly or unknowingly, undermining its foundation. I do not blame you for your reluctance to be accountable to your own words or for the difficulty in reconciling your current stance with your previous positions. If our politics were more principled, we would not find ourselves in this predicament with people like you leading the front. Shameful!
