In the context of the pre-election mission in Hungary, the elements gathered indicate, from a technical standpoint, an overall solid framework. During the meetings, I did not find concrete elements indicating irregularities in the electoral process, nor signs of foreign interference. In discussions with the various interlocutors, differing assessments emerged regarding aspects of the political, media and institutional context. However, especially one week before the elections, I consider it essential to clearly distinguish between established facts, perceptions and political assessments, and to ensure that any assessment is grounded in objective, substantiated and verifiable elements. I do not enter into the merits of the political choices of the Hungarian government. I simply maintain that an observation mission must remain anchored to verifiable facts and not to prejudicial assessments. I therefore dissociate myself from the final statement issued at the end of the mission, which, in my view, reflects political bias and partiality and does not adequately reflect what we were able to observe during the mission. @coe
