East Goscote Scouts

Happy 1st birthday to our Squirrels drey. What better way to celebrate than on camp.

Scouts built trebuchets this week using their pioneering skills and even got a chance to hit the leaders with water balloons.

This weekend a few of our Scouts took part in a Patrol Camp as part of their Chief Scout’s Gold Award, showing strong teamwork and independence throughout.

This week our Scouts enjoyed a BBQ and took part in games with lots of fun throughout the evening. We are also proud to announce we can now offer Tomahawk Throwing which will feature at our Annual Scout Fête this summer!

Great Scout session today making wood-burnt keychains and painting mini figures, showing excellent focus and creativity.

Scouts used our new Chromebooks today for a Dragons’ Den challenge, creating and pitching products that could be useful in schools.

Winter Camp is underway with scouts braving the rain for the hike to the chip shop and now settled inside watching a movie, a great start to camp.

Our scouts used STEM kits to build a wheelbarrow and a crane, putting their teamwork and problem-solving skills into action.

Today the Squirrels had a special visit from Ady and his ambulance, where they explored the vehicle, learned about the equipment, and discovered how ambulances help people in emergencies.

Scouts are up and running this morning, cooking breakfast of sausages, bacon, eggs, and beans.
