The workshop also fostered collaboration across sectors in the spirit of One Health as AMR is a multifaceted issue. Through lectures, case studies, interactive sessions, and field work, participants gained practical knowledge and skills to address one of the global health issues.

A training workshop on Antimicrobial Resistance In The Environment and The Role of Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) was conducted for EHOs at the Department of Pollution Control and Environmental Health, Federal Ministry of Environment, Abuja from 20 - 22 August 2025.

The workshop focused on responsible antimicrobial use, AMR surveillance, Environmental sample collection & transportation, as well as AMR Mitigation strategies - waste management and Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) .
