@monet_trees I just call it art and photography like I would call poems, poems even though every single one of these things are art. Sorry for the confusion

@EJ__XD i never said it was wrong im commenting on the way you said tracing photos is fine but tracing art isnt like photography isnt art

@monet_trees Well sorry, cause that wasn’t my intention. What I meant is they’re both art forms. But I don’t see a point in using someone else’s work in your work when you’re using the same art form cause it doesn’t offer anything new.

@EJ__XD @Mastermindraws nope.. add one more step... tracing someone's art and posting it as ur own is real cheating.. cuz generally its completely fine to to trace an artwork for practice.. for eg. i used to trace loish, glen kean and many art back in the days to study their styles

@monet_trees Well yeah, photography and drawing is different. Someone can snap a really good picture of the mona lisa and call it their photography and no one seems to care? Why can’t people draw over a photograph? What’s wrong with that?

@princessnuiii @Mastermindraws Tracing is just following the lines tho so I think that’s cheating, but if you draw over art but it’s your own artstyle and stuff, I’d say it’s not cheating but I wouldn’t recommend you post it and call it your own work anyway

@Mastermindraws @EJ__XD you also add your own style and creativity to it so i would say not cheating. at least you’re not generating images
