Billions of dollars in federal funding to support education is being held hostage.
This money was expected by states and schools to provide education for all learners including services for English learners.
The call to action: contact your state representatives and congress. Let them know where you stand on this matter and impact these funds have.

🤝 What does acceptance truly look, sound, & feel like in school? It's about including all students, celebrating differences, listening openly, & ensuring every voice is valued.
When students feel accepted, they're comfortable, seen, & ready to learn. 📖

Because of all the bureaucracy and external pressure, being an educator of multilingual learners can feel overwhelming.
Staying focused on the students and what they need helps us to accomplish our goals as their teachers.
They need educators who believe in them and see their strengths.
They need instruction in every classroom that integrates language and content.
They need cheerleaders who will celebrate their accomplishments big and small along the way.
They need advocates will stand up for their rights, who will fight for what is best, and help pave a path toward success.
They need to see themselves and their experiences in the books and resources throughout the school helping them to feel seen and understood.
They need to belong…in the classroom, school, and community through friendship and clubs or sports and other activities. This sense of connection gives them confidence making them WANT to come to school.
They need YOU. ♥️🙏🏽🌎
