We did a Number Trouble team building activity to start out the year looking at how quality teamwork and communication is important when working with a group/partner! The kids loved it! 🙌🏼

Earthquake lab 🔬 students were able to design and test models of structures that would survive a earthquake. Putting together what they learned about plate tectonics and fault types. Awesome lab 8th grade! @nmbmchiefs @JmarquesSjms

Loved seeing 7th grade science get heart rates up and collect real world data for the circulatory system. Everyone had a smile on their faces @nmbmchiefs

Had a great experience with our CrayonMystery: kids interview crayons to determine persp., pov, tone with specific voc. & support that tone with evidence! They narrowed suspects to 3 & defended their choice in a seminar & wrote claim, evidence, expls. #hcsleads #nmbmiddle #ela6th

I am looking for ways to create digital writing notebooks with my students as we are on a week to week basis of whether we are distance or hybrid here when we start. I have used @edublogs before for certain things, but not in that fashion. I would love suggestions. #PD4uandme

This online learning is tough I miss interacting with my kids❤️as I sit here at 10 pm with hours of work left to go, I get emails back on feedback I just left kids. Makes my heart happy and makes me realize they need more feedback and koodos from me daily 😊

Bookclubs started!! Kids were begging for extra reading time to get into new books after meeting with their group to decide # of chapters should be read each week and who would be the discussion leader each week! Who says kids don’t❤️reading! #hcsmaela #6thgradeela #nmbmchiefs
