Plastic pollution is one of the greatest threats to ocean health yet less than 5% of plastic is recycled worldwide. Majority of the plastic produced is for single use. Is the convenience really worth the threat? #EM203Mueller

Do you think we should have a tougher stance on plastic pollution by banning single use plastic? #EM203Mueller

There is simply too much plastic being made for the world to dispose of it sustainably. We can't recycle our way out of this problem, we must reduce the amount of single-use plastic being produced.

In case you're wondering who is backing the mass production of single-use plastic. It's the same people that brought you oil spills, the climate crisis, and war. We have the power to change the tide. Get involved 👉🏽 bit.ly/stopplasticpol… Credit: @brkfreeplastic

'One Asian country after another is shutting the door on waste plastic from US, UK, Australia.' Wealthy countries need to figure out how to deal with scrap at home. (Better yet, not produce so much waste in the first place.) #plasticpollutes ow.ly/wx6q30p9hR4

Report shows plastic pollution is a threat to global climate mitigation. US EPA reported that waste incineration released eleven million megatons of carbon into the atmosphere in 2015, and plastic waste contributed to more than half of it. #plasticpollutes ow.ly/W4ZI30p7IDr
