@GOtransit I am very excited about the new routes connecting Waterloo, Guelph, and Hamilton. I hope it reduces congestion around these areas! What do you think?

@GOtransit I am researching the causes of and solutions to traffic congestion. How has the establishment of the Go Transit System helped reduce traffic congestion?
P.S. I'm very excited for the new route connecting Waterloo, Guelph, and Hamilton!

Here is a concise and informative article that I found detailing the 4 main sources of traffic congestion. Take a look! geotab.com/blog/traffic-c…

Traffic congestion is a major problem that wastes our time, increases stress, causes pollution, and poses a risk to public health and safety. We need to find sustainable solutions that reduce congestion and promote alternative modes of transportation. #EM203Robin #EM203Problem

Just wanted to share this quote as it relates to the course content. The ability to memorize and recall info does not imply understanding. A true measure of competency is one's ability to apply what one knows in new situations to solve a problem. #EM203Robin #EM203Research

The measure of your intelligence is not your ability to acquire knowledge but how you handle uncertainty and navigate through it and behave when you don't know what to do.

Contrary to the common sentiment, building larger highways does not reduce traffic congestion in part due to induced demand. The following CAA report summarizes alternative, effective measures to tackle traffic congestion. #EM203Research

The first three weeks of EM203 have been very exciting! I've dug into my learning of the digital world and how it can benefit learning, especially through the "Learning By Doing" theory. I executed this theory by learning how to knit a square from my grandma! #EM203Robin

At only 23 years old and in only his first season as a pro, Yared Nuguse has catapulted himself into the shortlist for USA's greatest middle-distance runner of all time. #TheGooseIsGolden

"Are we running out of quality farmland?" A very interesting question posed by @EM203WMont in his concept map detailing issues related to the environment. #EM203Problems

@EM203JWu Interesting viewpoint on individualism's role in modern society! Although I definitely agree connectivism and learning via social settings are becoming more prominent, I think self-study is still an important trait to have and shouldn't be phased out.
English

First lessons that I have learnt in this course is that in modern day society, individual learning is a thing of the past and nowadays, people learn and gain knowledge from other individuals and sources. This is a more efficient way of learning due to connectivism. #EM203Robin
English

@DanYaronEM203 Interesting learning theory. I thought connectivism was a little too abstract for my liking though. I think cognitivism most reflected the way I learn best.
English

Really enjoyed meeting everyone in my Learning Group and seeing everyone's initial thoughts about our learning theory which was Connectivism! #EM203Robin

@EM203edrake Very cool Liz! I also completed a sudoku puzzle last week but I used a different learning technique - learning by doing. I watched YouTube videos to learn tips and tricks on how to solve them more efficiently.

Learning in EM203 has been a great opportunity to try new learning technology! It has pushed me to try different tasks and learn new tasks. Today, I completed a Sudoku using independent learning! Only took me a little bit to relearn how to complete this task! #EM203Robin

@EM203mcatalli @EM203LWilk I also completed a sudoku puzzle last week! It took a while and a lot of practice but I finally finished a hard one. I like how this course gets us to implement these learning theories in fun ways instead of just learning about the concepts!
English

@EM203LWilk Hello Lauren! Learning a new skill last week was exciting. I decided to take on completing a sudoku puzzle. It was a challenge for sure, but It was fun to try something new.
English

@EM203AriannaB Very interesting course! I was fascinated by the cognitivist approach, to be honest. I wonder how these theories will change (or fall by the wayside) as technology influences the way we learn.

So far I am enjoying EM203 with Robin Persad! I have had the opportunity to get to know my group and grow my knowledge about learning theories, specifically constructivism. I found it interesting learning how social media has enabled this learning theory. #EM203Robin
