Electric vehicles are always promoted to having almost no emissions, when in fact the production and the disposal of the batteries produce a lot of emissions. First world countries are just using the idea to export the emissions elsewhere. climate.mit.edu/ask-mit/how-mu…
nytimes.com/2020/07/20/cli… Polar bear extinction is rising at an incremental rate due to human-caused climate change. Ice caps are melting resulting in polar bear habitats and means of hunting for food to decline #EM203Robin#EM203Research
@EM203Jleclair Hi Jenna, It is honestly crazy how just 20 years ago, they didn't have any of the technology we have today. Our parents were only introduced to cell phones and the internet when were born! #Em203robin
This week we were asked to talk about a problem that we are interested in. I looked at how the polar bear population is drastically decreasing and how by 2050 50% of the population will be gone. #EM203Problems@EM203LaurenPope
This week and last week I was looking at polar bear extinction as my topic focusing on a major problem. I looked at how climate change, food insecurity, and habitat loss are major factors affecting the polar bear population. #EM203problems@HasanZayed9
A problem I see connected to your map regarding deforestation is a lack of tree planting initiatives. There more instances of deforestation happening then there are of initiatives to help rebuild certain areas and habitats such as tree planting #EM203problems@EM203airwin
@HasanZayed9 The new generations of learning are going to be so different than ever before! It is really interesting to look at how our learning styles are adapting as technologies advance
Learning about the " 3M's" (Multi-media, Multi-Tasking, and Multi-Modal) in my class EM203 has enlightened me on the rapid advancement of technology in the short span of a couple decades and how much it has affected the new generation's way of learning #Em203Robin
@EM203GSeif Learning theories are so interesting to understand! Do you think you have learnt more about yourself after gaining a greater understanding of learning theories?
Over the past few lessons in EM203, I found it especially fascinating to learn about the different types of learning theories, as I got to know which learning style suites me! #EM203Robin
@EM203HannaA I couldn’t agree more. Learning about how we learn is really interesting as it allows us to take a step back and look at ourselves and our learning styles and habits from an outside perspective.
Reading about the different ways we can learn is really cool, especially since as students, we (try) to do a lot of learning! I also learned to solve sudoku! Loving EM203 so far! #EM203Robin
@Em203AKyriacou Great point! Learning about how technology impacts our learning in the 21st century is critical to analyze. Sometimes we are learning with new technologies and we do not even realize how important they are in the learning process.
The first 3 weeks of #EM203Robin has taught me about all of the different learning styles and how technology impacts the way we learn. It is interesting to see how we can utilize technology in our everyday lives, and as technology advances, our daily use will continue to grow.
After completing the first three weeks of EM203, it is evident that there are many different learning styles. Growing up and learning in the 21st century is so different than any other generation, as we are constantly surrounded by technological distractions. #EM203Robin
