1/10 premature deaths in Canada are directly linked to obesity. As the number of Canadian adults with obesity continues to grow rapidly, the amount of premature deaths will continue to rise. #EM203problem
One final concept map from my group was made about Health and a large focus was on sleep. One issue I identified is how lack of sleep creates multiple health concerns and also greatly limits brain function. Many students today do not get enough sleep.
Another one of my group members made a concept map on Obesity. One issue I realized is how the rise of technology has made the majority of people much less active which ultimately contributes to this health risk.
One of my group members made a concept map about issues in education. One topic they mentioned (and the issue I realized) is how standardized testing fails to recognize differences in student learning styles.
@EM203AWeiner I totally agree, this course has been very interactive so far. It has also been interesting using different methods of communication (twitter) to engage with classmates.
After the first three lessons, I have learned more about learning styles, specifically, Learning by Doing. As well, I have learned more about the three M’s. I love this course and how interactive it is! I cannot wait for the rest of this course! #EM203Robin

@EM203CT Hi Carolyn, it has definitely been engaging so far. It was interesting to see in the experiment that multitasking is not always as efficient as we often think.
As we have only gone through 3 lessons, EM203 has been an engaging course and I am excited for the rest of the course! A lot of the course material is applicable such as the impact of multi-tasking and the changes of the digital age. #EM203Robin
