The federal government has just brought in a new streaming tax, at a time when life is already unaffordable. It's time to take action and let them know they should #ScrapTheStreamingTax
stlouisfed.org/institute-for-… - This resource from the St. Louis Fed provides a detailed overview of wealth inequality in the U.S., highlighting the stark disparities in wealth distribution across income levels, racial groups, and other demographics. #EM203Research
@EM203SamuelC Absolutely! Multitasking, although a valuable skill to possess, is not ideal for learning, and is something that future generations must understand when dealing with the distractions of the digital world as you mentioned!
@alysiajaiden A significant issue in education is the unequal distribution of resources, leading to disparities in quality for racial and socio-economic groups. #EM203problems
@EM203npittman A significant issue in education is that the current Ontario government has not prioritized it, leading to gaps in funding and resources. #EM203problems
@EM203wbryer A key issue in education is the lack of teacher knowledge on technology integration, which limits effective use of digital tools in classrooms. #EM203problems
@Manner9191 Hey Aydan, Great Post
Connectivism is such an interesting concept! How do you plan to apply the idea of using networks effectively to improve your own learning process?
Connectivism states that learning happens through networks, and that it is all one big process. You have to be able to use your networks effectively to learn efficiently. Hopefully I can apply this to my own learning to make it more efficient. #EM203Robin

Awesome progress! How has diving into these learning theories, especially constructivism, shaped your perspective on how students learn in today’s digital age?
Through these first couple of weeks taking EM203, I have been able to gain a deeper understanding of the different ways that students learn in the 21st century/ digital age. Likewise, I've also explored and analyzed different learning theories like constructivism. #EM203Robin

Sounds like you're diving deep into some fascinating topics! How has learning about constructivism changed the way you approach your own learning process?
So far in #EM203Robin I've learned about learning theories, the 3M's and how people learn in the digital age. Most interestingly I learned that the constructivism theory is a theory that explains that learners actively construct knowledge rather than just listening to information

"That’s fantastic progress! How has 'learning by doing' impacted your understanding so far? Do you have any favorite hands-on experiences from the course?"
In the first 3 weeks of EM203 I created an X account, followed my professor, and followed some classmates. Additionally, I dove into various learning theories, specifically "Learning by doing", which allows students to gain hands-on experience. #EM203Robin

That's awesome! Sounds like you're off to a great start. How did your classmates and react to your introduction through a comic?
In the first 2 weeks of the Learning 280 Characters or Less I've done a lot! I created an X account and added my professor, some of my classmates, and some of my idols. I also introduced myself to the class through a comic and started my learning analysis assignment. #EM203Robin
@EM203AdamShiu Great Post Adam!
Absolutely agree! It's amazing how the internet has made education more inclusive. What do you think are the next big changes we’ll see in digital learning?
The Digital age has transformed learning, making knowledge more accessible and decentralized. What stood out to me was how the Internet flattened the hierarchy of education, allowing people from all walks of life to access information and collaborate across borders. #EM203Robin
Cognitivism emphasizes focused learning, but multitasking splits attention, reducing effectiveness. To learn better, tackle one task at a time, minimize distractions, and manage cognitive load for improved retention and productivity. #EM203Robin
