Hi @ClassTechTips! As the technology worlds keeps moving faster and faster, I was wondering if you had any thoughts on how we could improve the lack of access to digital learning resources for urban/rural communities?

I think this image is critical in the path to bettering education globally. Internationally many of us are not aware of the countries that are really suffering from the lack of education. Shedding light on this can call action into a faster speed.

This HuffPost really caught my attention. The alarming number of 11,000 academics declaring an emergency climate crisis is scary. They argue that a transformational change needs to be made in the way society interacts with nature in order to prevent a 'hothouse Earth'. #EM203

Hey @EM203nzelinski! In regards to health, I think another issue that all us students can relate to is school. School tends to take a huge toll on our mental, physical and emotional well-being. #EM203problems

Hey @SamanShafiq6! In regards to global leaders and climate change, a huge issue is financial inability to make changes to their own society due to hardships (natural disasters etc.) #EM203problems

Hey @Em203Gill! In regards to immigration & the economy, I think the debate around human rights versus over-population is a huge issue concerning many politicians. #EM203problems

Hey @EM203ashleybaum In regards to your stance on waste/landfills, a connecting issue is that majority of people are not educated on how to recycle/compost. This results in landfills with non-recyclable material and more greenhouse gasses being emitted. #EM203problems

@EM203DPereira So true! The amount of information we have access to is astonishing! Easy accessibility to all of these resources has definitely made learning less frustrating and way more approachable.

Learning in a digital age has changed the world! Readily available access to online information including; peer-reviewed articles, edited books. All of this information free of charge with a simple click of a button, able to be absorbed by a wide variety of learners #EM203Robin

@Em203Pattison Agreed! I especially think it is important to validate these theories because knowing when and where these theories function well, can help instructors apply them more efficiently.

@Em203Lee I totally agree with you! Thinking about the fact that you could be in a totally different country taking a course from Laurier all through online instruction is amazing!

The first three weeks of EM203 has helped me expand my knowledge on how technology is changing the way we interact with one another and how we learn. The digital age is truly different than the past and a lot of change has been made #EM203Robin.

@LawLovesEm203 I agree with you! Theory of connectivism has changed the lives of many. When my parents look at the technology and equipment we have today, they are taken back by the depth of communication we as students are able to have with our peers and professors.

I have been extremely fascinated to learn about the emerging learning theory of connectivism. A simple yet exceptionally riveting theory that helps us understand learning in the digital age. Looking forward to what else this intriguing course has to offer. #EM203Robin

@EM203KaitlynA I agree with you and I think that is one thing a lot people forget. We tend to focus on the great development of technology and its growth but it is important to realize the deficits of it such as distractions, commitment to keeping up with online lectures etc.

So far, EM-203 has provided me with insight to the constantly evolving impact that technology has on learning. While it can have many benefits (i.e. accessibility to information), it can also have many drawbacks (i.e. misinformation and distraction). #EM203Robin
