Social media has a huge impact on body image. While we see a diversity of bodies in real life, platforms like Instagram seem to be filled with thin “influencers” who advertise diets, workouts & weight loss aids. These posts are misleading and harmful. #em203robin #em203problems

@EM203IRAY Hi Isabelle! I didn't have a twitter prior to this course but I can see how it is a great platform for active learning. I agree with you about the fact that it enables communication - it's definitely a great way for us to interact with our peers and access information.

I’ve really enjoyed the first few weeks of this course, learning about the importance of technology in the digital age and how it’s continuously evolving. Using Twitter as a platform for our learning has opened more opportunity for communication and collarboration! #EM203Robin

@Em203JakobBroo1 Hi Jakob! I also liked the task of making a comic strip and thoroughly enjoyed viewing the ones others had made. I think the visuals made it a fun and interesting way to learn more about my classmates. It definitely demonstrated a great way to learn in a digital age!

During the past three weeks in #EM203Robin, I have learned so much in such a short amount of time. My favourite task so far was creating my own comic strip. It was a unique new skill I learned. As I love comics and creating my own was really fun!!

@EM203celliott Hi Celina! Although I was somewhat familiar with the concept of learning by doing prior to this course, Bate’s text demonstrated how the theory can be applied in a digital age. Is learning by doing the learning theory you relate to most?

During the first 3 weeks of this course, I have increased my knowledge on the realm of digital learning. This includes the 3 M’s, the theory of Learning By Doing and understanding the way technology can influence learning and teaching. #EM203Robin

@NathanielMuel20 Hi Nate! Learning about the 3M’s was also my favourite lesson. Like you, I learned how to do a sudoku puzzle and thought it was very fun! I also enjoyed doing the multi-tasking experiment. I found that I was able to perform much better without any distractions. What about you?

I had a great time learning 3 lessons in class so far but my favourite has been about the 3Ms; Multi-Media, Multi-Modal, and Multi-Tasking. I even learned to solve a Sudoku as well. #EM203robin

@Em203SHersi Hi Safia! Like you, this class introduced me to the concept of multi-modal! It’s interesting how the variety of media available to us supports learning. For lesson 3, I choose to learn how to do a sudoku puzzle by watching a YouTube video. What task did u do & how did u learn it?

When I first enrolled in EM203, I didn't really know what to expect...but the first few weeks of this course have been interesting and informative. I have gained knowledge about learning theories, the 3 M's and particularly how digital media has influenced learning. #em203robin
