EM203 has been a very interesting and enjoyable! I think it is very unique how it uses Twitter to show that we can learn through social media. Although we live in a digital age, I am new to Twitter and thus I have enjoyed learning and using this new skill set! #EM203Robin

@claireb9160 I think you bring up a great point about how the internet has its advantages and disadvantages to learning. Sometimes I wonder if having all of this information disposable to us almost creates an information overload.

Having the internet readily available for us to use has had both positive and negative impacts on learning. We have more information at our disposable and have learned new ways to deliver information. But, we can see that it also comes as a distraction to our learning #EM203Robin

@EM203aswent I completely agree, I’ve never done an online course like this where we actually use social media to integrate and connect our course content. I have also never had Twitter so it has been very interesting to use!

I learned that learning occurs in many modes and theories, especially in the digital age where information is easily accessible and found just one click away. Although we are constantly exposed to multimedia, it is distracting when multitasking, limiting our learning. #EM203Robin

@EM203GabriellaG That’s a very interesting insight! I had no idea that artificial intelligence was based on cognitivism, and I feel like it truly shows the impact of learning theories on real-word applications! Do you think AI is an inherently good or harmful invention?

Over the past week I learned about the cognitivism theory. As I read about cognitivism, I discovered that artificial intelligence is based on the theory. AI has grown in popularity over the past few years, so I found it really interesting to learn more about it. #EM203Robin

@EM203BParker It’s great that you’ve been able to learn what learning theory is most applicable to your learning style! I think that it’s important that we take what we’ve learned and apply it to our actual learning to make the most out of the course content.

After reading more into learning theories, I have realized I might be more part of the constructivism group compared to objectivism and behaviourism which I initially believed I was mostly part of, who would have known. #EM203Robin

I've learned a lot of interesting information about the digital age from our first 3 classes. Specifically learning about digital natives and how our learning has drastically changed due to this wave of technology, along with the various types of learning theories. #EM203Robin
