15 years since I was asked by @Telegraph to write a photo caption for a royal kiss and decided to go with something completely different that happened that day

Dilemma. What do I do with these embroidered pillowcases ? They were given to my mom at her wedding. They were embroidered by her grandma, my great great grandma. My mom never used them because /she “couldn’t ever replace them” after her grandma passed. She kept them in the linen closet in the house I grew up in. She gave them to me when I got married and yes, I’ve also kept them unused in my linen closet for 20 years. I don’t want to get rid of them (I won’t). Do I use them or keep them safely store me for future generations to not use, either?

Today is National DNA Day. Rosalind Franklin helped discover DNA’s structure — but her name is often left out. Her work still shapes how we understand ourselves today. myheritage.com/dna

This 1,800 year-old Roman glass cup is so well preserved that the railway construction worker who found it in the 1800s used it as a flower vase not realising its age! 💐 😲 From Himlingøje, Denmark. National Museum of Denmark 📷 by me #Archaeology
